Make an idea visible—and give every student a way to contribute
Help Grades 3–6 learners respond to an idea from a teacher-approved lesson, class conversation, or another source they have already studied. Students create original visual work and add a short caption or reflection. Sharing is optional; no student is asked to represent a group or disclose personal or family history.
Choose the format that fits your class
- Eight stand-alone art-and-writing activities: use one without completing the mural.
- Optional class mural: 14 reusable prompt/design masters and class-size plans for 12, 18, 24, or 30 students.
- Seven mini-gallery tools: adapt student-created work to the space and school display rules you have.
- Flexible response choices: supported, core, and extension options, plus brief reflection and completion/care checks.
English and Spanish choices
Student and teacher pages include English and Spanish text. Choose English, Spanish, or both for your classroom; students do not need to complete the same response twice. Drawing, labeling, dictation, or typing can be used where specified.
Simple classroom setup
Activities use common classroom paper, pencils, and coloring tools. Optional display formats may use teacher-approved mounting supplies. Follow school safety and privacy rules when displaying student work.
What this resource is—and is not
This is an art, writing, and student-display resource—not a biography research pack, reading-comprehension unit, map or flag activity, or a predesigned mural for students to assemble as a group. Students create individual contributions; public sharing and names are optional.
Digital printable. No physical item or classroom supplies are included.
